Product Overview
The automotive autonomous driving test system is built by converting a BYD production vehicle into a simulated driving platform. It combines real vehicle controls with virtual road scenarios and can be used for the development, tuning and validation of autonomous driving systems, control strategies and related functions.
Key Test Capabilities
- Test the system’s ability to detect and assess pedestrians, road obstacles and other road users or objects.
- Test vehicle perception and response to traffic signals, lighting conditions, the road environment and surrounding changes.
- Simulate sudden events to verify warning, braking, avoidance and emergency response functions.
- Repeat tests under different road conditions and complex scenarios to improve system stability and reliability.
Application Value
Repeatable testing in a controlled simulation environment reduces the need for real-road vehicle tests and lowers vehicle wear, test-site, personnel and test-management costs. It also allows some high-risk scenarios to be validated without direct testing on public roads, improving safety and development efficiency.
